Meaning long range attacks are limited at best.
Their main weakness? No actual archer units. With the Sacred Band infantry and cavalry, swift light troops, and powerful elephants, they shouldn't be overlooked. The Romans later attacked them so I did a 'Hannibal' and invaded the Po-valley, sacking every Roman city in Italy except Rome, gave the Po-valley cities back to the Gauls. But, they are surrounded by enemies, and their best units are mid to late game units.Ĭarthage is pretty well balanced. Plus with silver shield legionaries, they are a force to contend with. The Seleucids infantry, mainly in their pikemen, take small step back in comparison to the Macedonians, but their cavalry, which includes various elephants and cataphracts, is head and shoulders above. But as with all phalanx troops, even their best infantry is incredibly vulnerable to flanking attacks. Strong infantry with really good cavalry. Have you ever wondered what goes through the mind of a lunatic when theyre ranking Rome Total War Remastered Factions NoWell here it is anyway.Ranking E. But their infantry, in a head on fight, with Spartans and Greek Armored Hoplites, can buzzsaw through even Roman infantry. Anyway, every campaign, even with the same faction, can (and is used to) be totally different than other played previously. My fav factions so far are Epirus (Just for the challenge and the interresting way the world goes if there is no Rome), Massilia for their easy. Id have enjoyed playing as Galatia and Tylis if I had been more aware of how to develop and manage those factions (public order was always a pain). I still struggeling in most of the campaigns on hard or very hard though. Rome is the largest faction in the game in-terms of Unit types and resources, making it a great side to select. The Greeks, well, their cavalry is only good for running down retreating foes or skirmishers. I really love the DeI mod and I think it makes Rome 2 the best playing experience atm besides FoS out of all total war Titels. Their infantry, if properly led, will decimate even elite infantry of other factions. Total War: Rome II is a strategy video game developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega.It was released on 3 September 2013, for Microsoft Windows as the eighth standalone game in the Total War series of video games and the successor to the 2004 game Rome: Total War.
